Celestial Cosmetics March Releases (Part 1!)

Hi lovelies!
March brings us a whole swag of releases from Celestial Cosmetics, so I'm breaking up my swatches into three posts this month so I don't go totally overboard with pictures in one big hit. I'm starting today with four polishes I'm calling the 'Shifty Shimmers' - I feel like it's pretty obvious why!

Beware, there are loads of images in this post - these shifters demand attention from every angle!

Click on any of the images for a closer look.

Android Tears is a soft sheer grey loaded with a vibrant violet, pink and gold shifting shimmer that lights up with colour. The gold is very subtle, giving the polish just the right amount of warmth while letting the violet-pink shift be the star.

Application is an utter dream, the polish goes exactly where you want it to with minimum effort. The finish felt a little patchy at two coats but was perfection at three. I used a ridge filling base coat and quick dry top coat for my swatches.

Primal Fear is a divine smoky purple with a green/gold shimmer that is pure heaven. The shimmer totally transforms the base in different lighting and at different angles - sometimes it's rich and dark with a hint of sparkle, other times it's bright and golden and totally in your face.

I found this to be an easy two coater - the base is brilliantly opaque, and it's great to work with. I definitely noticed my ridges on my middle finger despite using a ridge filling base, I'd recommend doubling up if you're particularly ridgy - these finishes are not kind to a less than perfect base. I didn't use top coat as it dried beautifully glossy on it's own, but of course I'd recommend it for extended wear time.

Twisted Selection is the ultimate blurple duochrome - there are undertones of mauve and violet, with a stunning electric blue shift that is positively alive! It's a totally obnoxious and in your face shade that shifts with ease, making for serious statement nails.

I found this one a little sheerer than the rest, needing three medium coats for good opacity. Application was the same as the others, with a beautiful, easy to control consistency. I would recommend letting your coats dry for a minute or two in between, particularly if you're doing thicker coats - I had some minor balding that I put down to using thicker coats than I'm used to. I again used ridge filling base, and finished this off with quick dry top coat.

Walk of Shame is pure hot fire! 🔥🔥🔥 A roaring duochrome with a golden base that shifts through deep orange to a rusty red. I absolutely have not done this one justice with photos, it looks nothing short of incredible on the nail and it had me mesmerised with the shifty goodness for a good 24 hours.

I loved the formula for this shade, three thin coats over a ridge filling base for a perfect finish. I didn't use a top coat for the swatches and ended up wearing it for two full days with just minor tip wear - something I rarely achieve with top coat on!

Keep an eye out tomorrow for the rest of the March releases!
