Do you ever get frustrated with tip wear or shrinkage before you're ready to change a gorgeous polish? I sure as heck do! I recently wore this gorgeous orchid crelly and by day two it was looking a little sad at the tips, but still glorious and glowing with those icy blue flakes.
(you can pause here for ooh's and aah's)
I wasn't ready to give up on it immediately, so what to do? Nail art to the rescue!
I saw this cute monochrome french tip by Trophy Wife Nail Art on Instagram and was inspired to do a full monochrome outline. Unfortunately my pinky couldn't be saved, so it got the half/half treatment as an accent nail.
I slathered some liquid latex around the edge of my nails and used a medium striper brush to add in the outlines with Pretty Serious Absence (black) and Presence (white). I started with a glossy finish, but ultimately, I'd been wanting to matte up those flakes from the minute they hit my nails so matte it was!
Mani saved and a nail art win! What are your favourite ways to save a worn mani? Let me know in the comments!
