Powder Perfect - Promise duo for Harlow ONE

Hi lovelies!

I’m really excited to share these two special polishes from Powder Perfect with you today, created exclusively for Harlow & Co’s Harlow ONE series. The Harlow ONE project sees one brand produce a special duo each month with $1 CAD per bottle being donated to a cause of the brands choosing.

This month, sales of Powder Perfect’s Promise duo will be raising funds for Pencils of Promise – an international non-profit/for-purpose organisation that builds schools and supports education in South America, Africa and Asia. Read about some of the amazing work they do here – after you’ve checked out this fabulous duo of course!

The perfect apple green linear holo with a hint of shifty silver micro glitter. And when I say micro, I mean seriously, truly micro. There are no bumps or lumps, it blends seamlessly with the smooth holographic base. The holo is quite delicate which lets the colour really pop. I’m head over heels for this shade – I feel like apple greens are one of the most underrepresented greens in polish land despite being perfectly bright and cheery. Can you hear me polish land? MOAR PLZ!

Formula wise Magic of Imagination is a win, a beautiful medium consistency that is opaque in 2-3 coats. I did 3 for swatches but I’m still wearing 2 coats on my right hand and I can barely tell the difference. It does dry with a slight satin finish which is easily glossed up with any top coat you choose – I paired it with Lightning Lady* for my swatches.

Hot pink crelly right up in your face! This juicy pink is full of sparkly iridescent/holographic silver glitters that seriously glow. The colour has a nice richness that stops it being too OTT hot pink, but it does need a bit of building to be truly opaque. It definitely swings more jelly than crelly to me so I did four thin coats for my swatches – there was still a hint of VNL at 3 coats that I couldn’t deal with.

Another nice formula on this – super glossy and applies really easily. The glitter spread well, didn’t cause any dragging or balding and doesn’t beg for layers of top coat. I used a regular/thick fast dry top coat on this and it was smooth and shiny.

The Promise duo is available now exclusively from Harlow & Co for $31 CAD, with $2 of every duo going directly to Pencils of Promise.
