Paint All The Nails Presents - Colour Block!

Hi lovelies!

Back again with my wonderful Paint All The Nails friends for a nail art challenge and I'm double excited because this month we voted on colour block! Even though it's not something I do often anymore, it's my favourite type of nail art and I was pumped to put together something awesome.

I've been embracing negative space more often lately and it works perfectly with colour blocking. Some of my favourite nail artists can do the most amazing thing with a bare nail and just a few strategically placed blocks of colour, and I tried to embrace that approach (while still hiding my perma-stained free edge) when creating this look.

I don't think my pictures even do it justice, on the nail I was loving it. Fist pumps and self high-fives all round really. This was all freehanded with a medium striper brush and the actual polish brush and it was surprisingly quick. As always, I had to make it matte!

I've been walking tall since I did these - I haven't freehanded like this for a long time, nor have I done something that I've felt was really truly properly me for a little while so I feel like I'm getting my groove back a little!

Now it isn't all about me - I'm hoping you're as excited as I am to see what everyone else has come up with this month! Check out the links below :D
