Unconventional Pastel Houndstooth Nail Art - ABC Challenge

Hi lovelies!

We've done it, happy Friday pals! Today for the ABC challenge we're up to H, which is obviously for Houndstooth - queen of all textile patterns!

You most often see houndstooth in monochrome - which I adore - but I wanted to try it using some more unconventional shades.

I had Frost Flower from Glam Polish sitting among my untrieds so I finally took it out for a spin as the base for some stamping. I used Powder Perfect Lightning Lady* to get my base dry nice and fast.

I picked one of the images from MoYou Fashionista 09 - a plate almost entirely etched with glorious houndstooth! I stamped with my favourite blue Emily de Molly Medium Blue and finished with some pastel studs from Born Pretty Store, and a coat of Celestial Cosmetics Light Year Top Coat, a nice quick drying top coat that behaves well with stamping.

What do you think? I'm glad I tried something different, but I ache for black and white! Frost Flower was a little washed out against my skintone sadly.
