Guest Post: Chevrons with Contrary Polish by Christine of Serenity Nails

Hi lovelies!

I'm really excited about today's guest post, as it features a whole lot of my favourite things - indie polish, geometric nail art, and matte top coat! Also it just happens to be put together by the most excellent Aussie nail blogger around, Christine from Serenity Nails. Chris has nails to die for and I adore reading her reviews. I'm super excited that she's done this nail art, so let's get into it!

Hi everyone! I am honoured to be here today on Jae's lovely blog while she is away living the life on vacation! I have prepared a simple geometric nailart look to share with you today which I really liked, so I hope you all do too!

I used all the creme shades from Contrary Polish's recent Spring It On Collection to create this look as I love how they all go together so well. They are also lovely to use, being smooth and opaque for this type of manicure.

The shades I used are Bloom, Fresh, Sprout, Breeze and Shower. How pretty are those names! I'll also mention too that the collection comes with a topper not shown in this manicure, Dewy, which is full of shimmer and tiny holographic speckles.

This was a really easy manicure to create. I applied a base colour on each nail and then waited for it to dry well before I applied a single chevron nail vinyl to each finger. I cannot for the life of me remember where I got these vinyls from, I have had them so long it's crazy!

I then used random shades from the collection to paint on each side of the vinyl, creating my look.

I decided to add a matte topcoat in honour of Jae, because I always forget to use mine, until I visit here and see all Jae's gorgeous matte manicures! So happy that this time, I finally remembered to pull out my Matte All The Things by Pretty Serious Cosmetics.

There we go guys! Thankyou to you, and Jae for having me here. I cannot wait to hear all about your trip and see what inspired you whilst away!

Chris xx
