Rookie Beauty - Effortless Summer Festival Makeup

Hi lovelies!

Checking in after an unplanned mini blog break with a super simple makeup look I rocked at Laneway Festival over the weekend!

I'm a huge music nerd (this year was my 9th year going to Laneway!), but less so a makeup nerd. I've been experimenting more with colour lately because it makes me happy, and I was really into how I looked over the weekend! I snapped a bajillion selfies in the Uber and thought I'd put my mug here on the internet for your judgment to rain down upon me.

Hi!

I did my usual base of foundation and powder and my favourite blush, but given I was wearing a black skirt and rocking the crop (aka this City Chic black and white crop) my face had to bring the colour.

I started by blending a dark green into my crease across the lid, then adding a pop of emerald to the centre of my lid and blending to brighten it up. I used a pale seafoam green from the brown bone down and added pops of warm golden brown to my inner corners for a bit of interest.

I finished it off with a new liquid eyeliner purchase, Schwing from theBalm. I'm still undecided if I love it, but it lasted really well considering the long day, hot weather and rain!
