40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Film | My Neighbour Totoro

Hi lovelies!

I almost forgot this week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas post was meant to go up yesterday! Luckily I already had a pretty solid plan that I've been waiting to execute thanks to the aiyoohehe Miyazaki stamping plate collection, or more specifically, Hehe #065* inspired by the impossibly adorable My Neighbour Totoro.

Yes, I probably should have done it and not just thought about it sometime in the last month, but eh, I got there eventually.

My Neighbour Totoro Nail Art

This is without a doubt the most epic stamping mani I've done - there's 3 stamping techniques, multiple layers and approximately thirty five thousand colours.

But, (I'm gonna toot my own horn here), it's pretty damn awesome, right? All the images are from Hehe #065, I managed to use about half of the images just in this one look! Everything is so amazingly detailed, like the cute little soot sprites, the delicate whiskers on Totoro and the adorable clusters of mushrooms. I think it's now my mission to own ALL the Miyazaki plates!!

So you know what plate I used, but what else I hear you ask?

The green forest/burrow backgrounds are marble stamped using
- Powder Perfect Welcome to my Treehouse, Legend Says...
- Bella Belle Nail Couture Evergreen
- Mckfresh Nail Attire Between Blue & Green
- Grace-full Nail Polish Samara
- Emily de Molly Neon Green sheer tint
plus, a hint of Grace-full Nail Polish Jaw Droppin' for pops of blue;

Index finger mushrooms/dirt are
- Hit the Bottle Taupe-lessly Devoted to You, Poison Apple
- China Glaze Street Chic;

Middle finger acorns/background is
- Hit the Bottle Every Day I'm Trufflin', Taupe-lessly Devoted to You
- Celestial Cosmetics The Night Lands
- China Glaze Street Chic;

Totoro is simply Hit the Bottle Looking for Mr Grey and Pretty Serious Presence, done by making a stamping decal;

Finally, the soot sprites are stamped with Ulta3 Black Satin with eyes of Pretty Serious Presence, with a stamped leaf in the background using Celestial Cosmetics Leaf.

YOU STILL WITH ME??
