So it took some time to recover from the sad fact of owning zero untried 'J' polishes - someone name a polish after me already and we won't have this problem again!
So we move onto K, which has something bright, something shimmery and something really spectacular. Excited?
CHINA GLAZE Kiwi Cool-ada
This was on my wishlist for a while and it's a bit of a disappointment. In theory I should love it - green, bright, matte. But the formula was streaky and had no desire to self level, and it took three generous coats to get to the stage of max acceptable VNL. I left the swatch without top coat because matte is fun and also maybe I kinda wanted to get it off my nails already?
It was also nowhere near as bright as I was expecting - it's not quite neon enough. Maybe it's just an old bottle (it was a destash buy) that's lost it's juju?
KB SHIMMER Maybe Navy
OoooOOooooo now this is lovely huh? This is a level 53 sparkler, a blue jelly full of blue and purple flakes, with a stunning teal bend in the sunlight. I didn't even notice this until the next day and I was looking between my nails and these pictures wondering how it was even the same polish. You can see hints of it on the edge of the nail in the closeup below, and it totally doubled how much I loved this polish. Which was already A LOT.
PRETTY SERIOUS Kashmir
Not often I'd confidently follow up something as gorgeous as Maybe Navy with something even better, but we did it! By 'we' I'm including Kaz aka the genius behind Pretty Serious, and Christine, she of the perfect nails and gorgeous swatches from Serenity Nails. I do love me some Pretty Serious, and these blogger collab polishes have been another level of awesome.
Kashmir is a thing of beauty, a deep blackened and reddened purple with flakes that I believe were made by some kind of dark magic. I think there might be some vampire blood in there, as it's very camera shy - it is at least x200 more incredible in real life, changing colour in every light and angle. If you like it dark and vampy and don't already own this... here you go. Thank me later.
And that's all pals, you are now safe to pick yourself up off the floor. Catch you next time x
