The A - Z of Untried - Hush!

Hi lovelies!

Back to the drawer of untrieds, acquainting myself with a reasonably new purchase and being disappointed by a yellow creme - but not for the usual reasons!

Before we jump in, you might have noticed a small change of domain. Yep, I'm joining the dot com ranks (that's a thing right? Probably not) and while I'm sticking with Blogger, the address is now a bit shorter. If you follow me on Bloglovin' there might be some minor interruptions but if you don't, uh, it's not too late to gimme some Bloglovin! Or Facebooklikin? More options in the sidebar if you want more droppin' g's and poor attempts at portmanteaus.

HOLLISH Office Party

HOLLISH Office Party

If I had to bottle an office party it would look like this. Dreary grey with a halfhearted attempt at colour and life in socially acceptable hues. That sounds like I'm dumping on the polish, but I'm not! It's just nailed the inspiration perfectly. Naturally, I adore this combination in a polish.

You know what else I love? That simple little label. It's super cute and I'm jealous that my handwriting isn't half as nice!

While it applied beautifully with a nice glitter payoff in three regular coats I could have used another coat of top coat to smooth things out. This is available as part of the Indie Extravaganza Vol II which is still available at a great discount via powderperfect.com.au

ESSENCE Have Fun

I hate/love this yellow. It's one of the easiest to work with sunny yellow cremes I've tried maybe ever. It's solidly opaque in three coats, no streaks, no patches. Then it dries down. For an unfortunate soul such as me who has enough ridges to rival an entire decade of The Bold & The Beautiful, this means serious sinking.

Oddly enough I only have ridges on my index/middle nails, so you can see it looks AHMAHZING on my pinky/ring, and like sand dunes on the wicked stepsisters. I'm not sure if this is available anymore, you might be lucky to stumble across it in clearance bins at Target and Priceline. I'd suggest picking it up if you want a good yellow creme, just use a few layers of ridge filling base coat if you're also cursed.

ILNP Hush

What can I say that hasn't been said about ILNP multi/mega/ultrachromes? You want a colour shifting marvel with flawless formula, look no further. Hush is breathtaking, the perfect purple to teal spectrum. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

ILNP Hush

I know I said I'd let the pictures do the talking but my camera picks up brushstrokes in these shimmery metallic finishes like they were a bold stripe. It's almost never the case in real life.

I think we have some hits here pals! Let me know what you think about these and I'll see you next time x
