Daisies and Star Ponies

Hi lovelies!

I've been on a mini blog holiday over the last week or so to give my nails a bit of intensive care, but I'm back with a quick little post to ease back into things.

I actually did this several weeks ago while it still felt like summer, and I thought I'd pop it up before I get to show off some awesome Autumn/Winter collections for you over the next few weeks.

Femme Fatale - Star Pony | Stamped undies nail art

I don't know if this has a name but I'm gonna call it 'stamped undies'. I've done it a few times and it's a super easy technique where you stamp your bare nails, then use a jelly over the top to let the design peek through. I love this method because it means I don't have to wait for my nails to be totally dry before stamping!

I like using a good glittery jelly - the combination of stamping and glitter distracts from the VNL you get with a sheer jelly.

To avoid making the stamped image streak - and the polish will almost definitely streak it - just put a quick layer of top coat down. Obviously you'll want one you would normally use over nail art, I like Peita's Polish Quick Gloss Me Up.

Your other option is to put down a layer of peel off base - PVA glue will do the trick just fine. The glue won't streak your polish, and it makes removing the glitter a breeze.

For this mani I used a black stamping polish from Nail Stamping Queen, with a daisy image from LilyAnna plate LA06. I then did a dabbed coat of Femme Fatale Star Pony which was the October 2014 Colour of the month. I'm a sucker for anything with triangle glitters!

That's all for today - see you soon! x
