piCture pOlish - Jade

piCture pOlish Jade

Because I am a huge procrastinator - hence the name - I was still doing Xmas shopping on December 23rd, which I highly advise against. That night, the shopping centre nearby was open all night long. We arrived at 8:30pm and it was packed. I don’t do well in such hives of activity, so along with gifts for others, I got myself a present (or two!).

Sunburn (a beachwear chain) are now stocking a limited range of piCture pOlish, and I picked up Jade and Sunset - my first ever!

Jade is as beautiful as I expected. The shimmery deep pastel makes me think of mint gelato. The first coat was a little streaky and the formula a little thick (this also could have been caused by extreme humidity), but after coat number two it started to even out. I did three for the extra punch of colour.

Stamping with Emily de Molly plates

It’s way too hot to do new nails (+35 degrees today!), but it has given me the chance to edit some other mani photos!

This is my first stamping success, which I largely credit to my new Messy Mansion squishy stamper! I used Emily de Molly plate EDM02 and despite the image being a little hard to pick up at times, it transferred to my nails perfectly - no rolling and smudging/distortion at all!

This has also made me feel rather excellent about my current stash list (in an Access database no less) which indicates how many coats a polish requires for full opacity - I can easily pick a decent stamping polish by sorting my list. Yay!
